St. Patty’s and a New Recording.

Irish_immigrants_1909Sorry friends, I’ve been off the radar for a bit. Life has gotten the best of me these last couple months.

But, it’s a new year and I’m excited to announce that The Pickpocket Revue has a show coming up on St. Patrick’s Day at Conor Byrne Pub in Ballard opening for our friends, The Wages of Sin. I’ll be sitting in with The Wages for a few tunes as well. The Revue has been learning a traditional Irish medley as well as adding to our arsenal of Pogues tunes. Plus, we’ll still do our Clash songs, our two originals and a couple other surprises. Expect more original songs soon. Lots of good ideas cooking as well as more gig offers so hopefully you’ll see the Revue around more often in 2016. But mark your calendars – Thursday, March 17 at Conor Byrnes Pub. I think we go on around 10pm.

Speaking of new tunes, my lovely wife got me an audio interface for my Mac for Christmas so I’ve been working on demo versions of new songs on Garageband. The first one I feel comfortable enough to share is “Glamorous Gutter,” a tune that’s been featured in sets by The Bad Things for the last couple years. What you hear is all me, save for the drum loop I used. I got tons of tunes in the works though and am seriously considering a solo album for the tunes that don’t quite fit for either of my bands.

Anyhoo, here it is. Enjoy!
