The Pickpocket Revue formed in 2015 for a Clash cover night. That lineup was essentially a Seattle alt-folk “supergroup” featuring members of The Bad Things, The Mongrel Jews, The Debaucherauntes and Bakelite 78.
Now a year in, the setlist features some original compositions mixed in with folkified versions of punk rock favorites by The Clash, The Pogues, Cock Sparrer and more. Imagine a high energy Americana version of The Pogues with three-part harmonies and you’re getting close.
They self-released the live 5-song EP “Live at Substation” in May of 2017 and have plans to record a full-length soon. Stay tuned.
